HBK 300 hardbanding wire has high hardness averaging 62 HRC, excellent toughness, and high wear resistance. The carbides and other hard phases in this hardbanding wire are closely arranged and dispersed in the martensite. This unique metallic structure provides a very high surface hardness and superior wear performance.
Due to the release of welding stress, HBK 300 wire has micro-cracks after welding; this is normal. The micro-cracks do not affect bonding performance with the parent material and will not result in spalling. The product doesn’t splatter much during the welding process, and the wire forms a smooth appearance after welding.
- Maximizes tool joint protection
- Low wear against casing
- Micro-cracks occur after welding and do not affect performance
- No spalling, chipping, or flaking
- Especially suitable in cases where serious wear can result from open-hole drilling
