HBK 100
Introduction
HBK 100 hardbanding wire is a type of ferrous-based flux-cored welding wire. Among the technical characteristics of this grade is the addition of a special alloy which allows good control over coagulation performance and the weld pool. HBK 100 hardbanding wire does not require shielding gases, and this is helpful in places where shielding gases like carbon dioxide and argon are expensive or not accessible.
The product’s hardness ensures the ideal amount of friction between the tool joint and casing as well as balanced protection. The unique design of the hardbanding wire’s metallic structure provides both tool joint protection and friction resistance between the entire drill string and casing in addition to protecting marine drilling risers and blowout preventers. This effectively increases the lifespan of drilling tools and all associated equipment.
